At Northgate Church we believe that children are an essential part of the Family of God. Northgate is recognised as having a particularly strong Children's Ministry.
Our Life in Father God:
Before the creation of the universe, God planned and loved each one of us. We are all precious in his sight. We recognise our special responsibility to protect all children in our care. We honour families as God's idea and try to support parents as they look after and train their children.
Our Life in Jesus:
Personal salvation is for all, from the earliest age that we can respond to the love of Jesus. All children and adult believers are called to serve as priests. We ensure that the full richness of worship is accessible to all ages.
Our Life in the Holy Spirit:
The Spirit can fill and empower children and adults in equal measure. We are committed to the discovery and development of God's gifts in everyone, irrespective of age.
Our Life Together:
Children and adults are equal partners in the life of our church. We do not use age to segregate or discriminate. Our fellowship together means we each belong to the rest. Service is for all; we particularly encourage children to serve alongside adults. Learning more about God and hearing from God is something our whole church does and we try to find ways to do it together.
Our Life in the World around us:
Jesus wants us all to tell other people how much He loves them. He wants us to care for those in need and to help look after the world that God created. We train and equip children, adults and families to share the good news about Jesus and do the work that God has given each of us.
Children's Groups and Youth Group:
Each week after communal worship, the children and young people have their own groups in which they worship God and learn from the Word, as well as having a great time together. The groups are based on age and school years:
